The Anaheim Community Foundation (ACF) has selected City Net and Covenant House as the recipients of $150,000 grants to provide services to support Anaheim’s homeless. The funding was provided by the former Anaheim Interfaith Shelter/Halcyon organization. Over 45 organizations submitted grant applications and a panel comprised of ACF Board members, City of Anaheim staff and Halcyon Board members made the selection.
City Net will utilize the funds for a Mobile Response vehicle with facilities for client care and case management. This asset will elevate City Net’s capacity to onboard and sustain progress with clients in every corner of Anaheim.
Shelter, Supports, Sustainability – A Covenant House California Continuum for Youth is the program funded and will provide safe shelter beds, age-appropriate assessments, intensive and thoughtful case management, crisis intervention, home-cooked meals, physical and mental healthcare linkages, substance
use/recovery services, educational and vocational supports, life skills curriculum and activities, permanent housing programs, and aftercare – that stabilizes youth who have experienced trauma as a result of homelessness and, often, trauma that caused their homelessness.
